Upon your arrival at the railway station, you will be met and greeted by our team. Check in at the hotel. In the evening, proceed to Wagah Border for the Beating Retreat ceremony. You will return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Amritsar.
The Wagah Border is renowned for its Beating Retreat ceremony between India and Pakistan. Situated on the outskirts of Amritsar near the Radcliffe Line, the boundary separating India and Pakistan during the Partition, the Wagah Border witnesses a large number of people attending this retreat ceremony. The ceremony is highly popular among tourists visiting Amritsar. Soldiers from both sides march towards the gate at the border, which opens when they reach there. Soldiers from both sides lower their respective flags, retrieve and fold them. The gate is then closed on both sides with a loud sound. A trumpet is sounded at the end of the entire ceremony. The soldiers return to their respective positions with their country's flag.
The "Amritsar with Wagah Border" package offers a valuable opportunity to experience the daily life in Punjab, Punjabi cuisine, culture, and traditions. You will also have a spiritual experience visiting the Golden Temple and witnessing Indian soldiers guarding the borders.
