Day 01 Arrival in Gangtok - Kalimpong Tour Package - Darjeeling
Our driver will be there to greet the guests at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) - From there, proceed to Darjeeling - Approximately 105 kilometers 3 ½ - 4 hours drive - At an altitude of 2123 meters/70001 feet lies the real estate of astounding beauty, nestled amidst tea plantations with a breathtaking view of Mount Everest, the Queen of the Hills - Darjeeling is also home to the famous World Heritage site - the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) - Check into the hotel - Evening free to explore Mall or local Shopping center - Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 02 Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Early morning at around 3:45 AM, drive to 8000 feet/2440 meters through ancient forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of Permit/Token from the respective authority) to witness sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) - On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial, and Batasia Loop - After breakfast, rest for about an hour. After breakfast, next round of sightseeing within city-limits includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tenzing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Closed on Sundays), Peace Pagoda - Back to the hotel - Late afternoon and evening free to roam around the town - Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 03 Excursion to Mirik
Morning Breakfast - After breakfast, drive to Mirik around 60 kilometers/1 ½ - 2 hours drive - The drive is through stunning scenery with occasional stops for photography - Mirik is centered around Sumendu Lake and is known for its landscaped gardens, tea gardens, orange orchards, cardamom forests, and panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges - Full day excursion of Mirik Lake (Pony and Boating are available around the lake) - This high altitude lake is worth visiting due to its picturesque settings and serene atmosphere - One can also visit Pashupati Market in Nepal on the way back to Darjeeling - Return to Darjeeling - Evening free to roam around the Hotel/Resort or Mall or the Local market area - Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 04 Kalimpong and Sightseeing
Early morning Breakfast - After breakfast, travel 65 kilometers 1 ½ - 2 hours journey to Kalimpong - Kalimpong nestled on the foothills of the Himalayas is a burgeoning destination at an altitude of 1243 meters/4078 feet - It is a true destination with bustling markets, vibrant people, and offers a stunning view of the Himalayan range - Kalimpong is also famous for its gardens - Check into the hotel - Drive for sightseeing session through beautiful roads to Forest Museum (Closed On Thursday), Deolo Hill, Hanuman Mandir, Dr. Graham Homes, Durbin Monastery, Mangaldham, Pine View Gardens (Cactus Only) - Back to Kalimpong Hotel - Evening free to roam around any of the hundred gardens or the Local market area - Overnight stay at Kalimpong.
Day 05 Gangtok
After breakfast at the hotel - 105 kilometers 2 - 2 ½ Hours drive to Gangtok Capital of the 22nd State of India, Sikkim is one of the most beautiful hill stations with numerous options for sightseeing - Check into Hotel - Drive for sightseeing to Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall, Flower Show, etc. - Back to Hotel - Evening free to roam around M G Marg (Mall) or local Shopping centermost - Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 06 Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir
Morning breakfast at hotel - Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir approximately 40 kilometers and 2 hours drive along the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, the home to the red panda and the blood pheasant with Rhododendron and other alpine trees along the drive - Located at an altitude of 3753 meters/12310 feet - The lake is egg-shaped lake approximately 50 feet deep - Mostly covered in snow for most of the year - This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks and many migratory birds - Nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir believed to be a genuine celestial site for all - Nathu La Pass to Republic of China is approximately 20 kilometers and is optional tour - Back to Gangtok - Evening free to roam around M G Marg (Mall) or local Shopping centermost - Overnight stay at Gangtok (In case of Avalanche or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided).
Day 07 Departure
Morning breakfast - After breakfast transfer to Siliguri/New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB)/Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction) - Approximately 135 kilometers 4 ½ - 5 hours drive - Guests are advised to start early and not to rush - Sending Tour.
