Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our staff will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Evening activities include dinner and orientation.
Day 02 Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast, visit the Pashupatinath Temple and Budhanilkantha Temple (resting Vishnu). Lunch will be at the hotel, and the rest of the day is free for your own excursion plans.
Day 03 Fly to Gonggar Airport and Drive to Lhasa
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for a scenic flight to Lhasa, offering panoramic views of Everest (8848m), Kanchenjunga (8536m), and other Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival, our Tibetan guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to Lhasa, approximately 1 hour drive. It's advisable to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude of Lhasa.
Day 04 Rest Day and Sightseeing in Lhasa
Today is a free day in Lhasa for rest and acclimatization. Optional sightseeing tours can be arranged to visit landmarks such as the Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Markets, where you can explore Tibetan customs and traditions. Entrance fees to these landmarks are additional.
Day 05 Lhasa to Shigatse
Today, the group will embark on a trip to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet, along the northern route of Friendship Highway. The highlight of Shigatse is the Tashilunpo Monastery, one of the largest monasteries in Tibet, built in 1447.
Day 06 Drive to Saga
After an early breakfast, we will begin our journey towards Saga, the final destination before reaching Kailash. The scenic drive to Saga offers breathtaking views of high passes, villages, and lakes along the way.
Day 07 Drive to Lake Mansarovar (Chiu Gompa)
Today, we reach the sacred Lake Mansarovar and Mt. Kailash, our ultimate destination. We will make a parikrama (circumambulation) of Lake Mansarovar, stopping at scenic spots along the lakeshore. Overnight stay will be at a guesthouse near Lake Mansarovar.
Day 08 Lake Manasarovar and Drive to Darchen
Today, there will be time for puja (worship) and a sacred bath in Lake Mansarovar. Later, we will drive to Darchen and then proceed to Yamadwar for the start of the trek to Dirapuk.
Day 09 Trek to Shivasthal - Gaurikunda - Zuthulphuk
This is the toughest day of the trek. Starting early in the morning, we trek uphill to Dolma-La pass, then descend to the valley area. Highlights include Shivasthal, Dolma-La, and Gauri Kunda. Overnight stay will be at Zuthulphuk.
Day 10 End Trek and Drive to Saga
Today, the trek is relatively easy and flat, completing within 2 to 3 hours. We will be picked up near Darchen and transferred to Saga.
Day 11 Return to Shigatse
Return to Shigatse following the same route.
Day 12 Return to Lhasa
Drive back to Lhasa via the northern route.
Day 13 Fly Back to Kathmandu
Transfer to Lhasa airport after breakfast for your flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel for refreshments and relaxation.
